Anita Moore has been selected as the August recipient of the Caught Being Good award in Pleasant View. The Neighbors in Action Committee recognized her for her history of kindness and generosity within the community.
Those familiar with Moore describe her as someone who seeks ways to brighten the days of others. Her actions include befriending those in need of companionship, sharing produce from her garden, and supporting her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at their various events.
A nomination highlighted a specific instance involving Moore and her late husband, David. While sharing a hibachi table with another couple, the Moores paid for the meal without knowing the couple had recently lost a job. The recipients of the gesture later referred to the Moores as their guardian angels.
In addition to her generosity, Moore is known for reaching out to neighbors, taking friends to lunch, and serving others without seeking recognition. Her community impact is attributed to her faith, love of family, and generous spirit.
