The 6A classification features several programs positioned at the top of their respective regions as the season approaches. According to UHSAA standings data from July 1, Lone Peak sits as a primary contender in 6A Region 3, while Bountiful enters the season as a notable force in 5A Region 6.

Lone Peak Early Schedule
The Lone Peak Knights have a dense early schedule for the month of August. The team is scheduled to face Park City on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 3:30 p.m. Following that contest, the Knights will travel to North Logan to take on Green Canyon on Thursday, Aug. 6, with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
The Knights' early preseason momentum will continue into the following week, as they are slated to play at Ridgeline on Friday, Aug. 7, at 7:00 p.m.
Green Canyon Matchup Slate
Green Canyon's opening week features a heavy schedule of regional matchups. The Wolfpack are scheduled to play at Syracuse on Monday, Aug. 3, at 7:00 p.m. This is followed by their high-profile clash with Lone Peak on Thursday, Aug. 6, at 7:30 p.m.
The team will then head to Ogden for a Tuesday, Aug. 11, matchup scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Bountiful Redhawks Schedule
The Bountiful Redhawks are also preparing for a rigorous August start. Their schedule begins on Tuesday, Aug. 4, with a home game against Lehi at 7:15 p.m. The Redhawks will follow this by hosting Layton on Friday, Aug. 7, at 3:30 p.m.
