According to a report published September 3, Utah features numerous events throughout September 2026 designed for pet owners and their dogs.
Activities range from seasonal festivals and sporting events to specialized training sessions and community pool parties.
Dogtoberfest is scheduled for Sept. 5-7 at Snowbasin Resort. The event requires dogs to be on leashes, and the first 50 dogs will receive a free bandana.
On Sept. 9, Salt Lake Bees fans can bring dogs to The Ballpark at America First Square for a game featuring pet-friendly amenities.
On Sept. 11 and 12, Wheeler Farm will host Petapalooza, which includes adoptions, a pet psychic, food trucks, and professional photo opportunities.
Various splash events for dogs are occurring on Sept. 12, including the Splash Pawty in West Jordan, Dog Splash in Clearfield, Puppy Paddle Pool Party in Provo, Dog-a-pool-ooza in Bountiful, and K9 Kerplunk in North Ogden.
For owners managing behavioral issues, the Humane Society of Utah is hosting a two-part training session starting Sept. 26 to address reactive dogs.
These events aim to provide opportunities for pet owners to socialize with their dogs and find new companions through local adoptions.
