The application period for the Bountilful Elementary Student Council for the 2026-2027 school year has officially closed. The school previously invited 4th and 5th grade students to apply for positions aimed at helping make the school a better place through leadership and service.
Upcoming announcement date
Members of the 2026-2027 Hope Squad and Student Council are scheduled to be announced on May 15th.
Student Council roles and responsibilities
The Student Council program provides 5th and 6th grade students with opportunities to develop leadership skills while serving the school community. Council members are responsible for various tasks, including planning and leading a fall Spirit Week, organizing service projects, supporting school announcements, and assisting with recycling.
Additional member duties
Additionally, members help introduce performers at assemblies and connect with younger students through reading support and Friday lunches.
Meeting schedule and student perks
The Student Council meets every Friday morning from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. Students selected for the council receive a Student Council polo shirt and T-shirt.
Application reflection requirements
During the application process, students were asked to reflect on their values regarding Bountiful Elementary, their reasons for joining, instances of leadership, teamwork abilities, and the strengths they would bring to the group.
