A man was arrested after he allegedly attempted to force another driver off the road during a road rage incident in Bluffdale. Gregory A Ramos Becames, 33, was taken into custody on suspicion of assault, a class A misdemeanor, and reckless driving, a class B misdemeanor.
The incident was reported on Saturday, June 27. According to reports, Ramos aggressively pursued the victim and attempted to force them off the road. After both vehicles stopped, Ramos reportedly exited his vehicle, charged at the victim, tried to punch him, and kicked him twice in the leg.
The affidavit stated that the victim sustained visible redness, swelling, and scratches consistent with the account of the altercation.
A witness at the scene informed officers that Ramos was driving aggressively by swerving between lanes, passing on the shoulder, yelling, and making obscene gestures while trying to force the victim off the road.
An officer with the Bluffdale Police Department contacted the registered owner of the suspect vehicle, who identified Ramos as the driver. Ramos was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
