Bountiful Elementary is bringing back a beloved opportunity for students this spring. Coach K has reintroduced the school’s Decathlon Team following a prolonged absence.
Purpose of the Decathlon
The Decathlon serves as a district-wide event designed to give students the chance to build confidence, work together, and compete as a team.
List of Competition Events
The Bountiful Elementary Decathlon Team will participate in ten different events this year. These include jump rope, cup stacking, 200M dash, basketball dribbling, accuracy throw, push-ups, curl-ups, long jump, sit-and-reach, and the shuttle run.
Benefits of Joining the Team
According to the school, Coach K stated that bringing the Decathlon back is about more than just competition. The program provides an opportunity for students to experience being part of a team, celebrate different strengths, and support one another.
Event Date and Location Details
Students from 4th, 5th, and 6th grade will represent Bountiful Elementary at the Davis School District Decathlon on Monday, May 11. The event will take place at Western Sports Park in Farmington starting at 9:00 AM.
List of Participating Students
The 6th grade participants include Tommy V., Jerris W., Eva C., and Avery B. The 5th grade team consists of Joseph V., Zane M., Briar M., and Eleanor S. The 4th grade representatives are Jehmiah C., Rivers V., Brynlee O., and Soulaiya W.
Families of the participating students are encouraged to attend the event to cheer from the bleachers.
