The Nephi City Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing for Wednesday, August 12, 2026, to discuss a proposed zone change request. The meeting is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the city council chambers at 21 E 100 N Nephi.
The hearing is intended to accept public comment on a request submitted by all property owners on Block 14, Plat D of the Nephi Township Survey. The proposal involves rezoning all properties located within the boundaries spanning from 500 to 600 E and Center Street to 100 S.
The request seeks to change the designation of these properties from the R1-1/4 Zone to the R1-1-8 Zone. The current R1-1/4 Zone requires a residential single-family minimum lot of 1/4 acre and 80 feet of frontage, while the proposed R1-1-8 Zone requires an 8,000 square foot minimum lot and 70 feet of frontage.
A map detailing the specific area is available for public review during regular office hours at City Hall.
