In a report published August 28, several Utah teams secured decisive victories in non-region football and 1A South baseball play.
In non-region football, the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs defeated Grand 43-7. Brody Knudsen recorded 109 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Other touchdown runs for the Bulldogs were completed by Chance Hammond, Dillon Dyreng, and Bear Bartholomew, while Krew Donaldson threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Daxton Knudsen. The Bulldogs outgained the Red Devils 322-117. Corbin Black threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Kalvin Hopkins as time expired for Grand.
In Richfield, the Richfield Wildcats defeated Deseret Peak 48-0 in non-region football. Cordon White and Colton White each threw touchdown passes, and Temana Vakautakakala ran for a touchdown.
In 1A South baseball, the Wayne Badgers defeated Bryce Valley 10-0. Bowen Pace and R.J. Pau’u each drove in two runs.
The Valley Buffalos defeated Green River 17-0. Dustin Spencer, Weston Baird, Bronx Withers, and Cody Cluff each drove in two runs.
