The Ritz Theater in Tooele is continuing its mission to provide community entertainment through a diverse schedule of upcoming events. Following its donation to the Tooele City Arts Council in December 2023, the theater is currently undergoing renovation and restoration efforts.
The theater's upcoming programming includes several musical and cinematic offerings. On August 3, 2026, The Panto Theatre will present Cinderella. This is followed on August 4 by a free screening of the musical Oklahoma! The Tooele Valley Theatre Cabaret will perform Pop Songs on August 6.
Karaoke events are scheduled for various demographics, including a session for ages 13-18 on August 14, an all-ages session on August 15, and an adult-only session for those 18 and up on the same day. The GFWC Tooele Civic League is sponsoring a free screening of Song Sung Blue on August 22.
Classic movie nights continue with It Happened One Night on August 29. September programming features a second performance of Cinderella by The Panto Theatre on September 1, followed by a Golden Age Musicals cabaret on September 3. The Downtown Fiesta Movie, featuring Encanto, will be shown on September 11 in partnership with the Tooele Downtown Alliance. Other upcoming musical and film events include the movie musical Bye Bye Birdie on September 14, an 80s karaoke night on September 18, the Rock the Ritz concert featuring Occupational Therapy on September 19, and Bach’s Magnificat presented by the Tooele Oratorio Society on September 25. The month concludes with a screening of High Society on September 26.
The Ritz Theater is located at 111 N Main Street, Tooele, UT 84074. The venue continues to host various community-focused events including magic shows, improv comedy, and film festivals.
