The Farmington City Council scheduled a meeting for September 2, 2026, to consider four separate ordinances, according to a September 2 statement.

The proposed ordinances include 2026-33, which amends provisions of Chapter 9-1 of the Farmington City Municipal Code regarding culinary water supply shortages and drought condition measures.
Ordinance 2026-34 involves amending the zoning map to change the zone for property located at 44 W 1600 S and 1575 S Frontage Road from AA (Heavy Agriculture) to LR-PUD (Large Residential-Planned Unit Development).
Additionally, ordinance 2026-36 aims to update setback and height allowances for building in the BP (Business Park) Zoning District. Ordinance 2026-37 seeks to remove references to the SPARC (Site Plan Architecture Review Committee), modify bond requirements for demolition, and update planning commission provisions based on state law requirements.
The meeting was held at 160 South Main, Farmington, UT 84025. Individuals requiring special accommodations during the meeting were instructed to notify City Recorder DeAnn Carlile at least 24 hours in advance.
