The Tooele Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to consider a zoning map amendment request, according to a August 31 public notice. The hearing is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 90 North Main Street.
The request, submitted by property owners Douglas Kinsman and Ron Hall, seeks to remove the Sensitive Area Overlay from three specific parcels. These properties, totaling approximately 2.02 acres, are located at approximately 695 South Main Street and 598 South Canyon Road. The parcels, identified as 02-013-0-0083, 02-013-0-0090, and 02-013-0-0089, are currently zoned as R1-7 Single-Family Residential and Open Space.
Members of the public may attend the meeting in person or electronically via the Tooele City YouTube Channel. Written comments for the public hearing must be submitted to the City Planner by 11:59 p.m. the day before the hearing. Additionally, written comments can be sent via email to pcpubliccomment@tooelecity.gov.
