Tooele City scheduled a public hearing for September 16, 2026, to discuss the issuance of Sewer Revenue Bonds, according to a September 1 notice. The hearing will focus on the potential economic impact of the project on the private sector and the issuance of the bonds themselves.
The City Council intends to issue the bonds in an aggregate principal amount not exceeding $14,000,000. These funds are intended for the acquisition, construction, and improvement of the project, as well as funding necessary reserves and contingencies and paying costs related to the issuance and sale of the bonds.
According to the notice, the city proposes to pledge net revenues from the sewage collection and treatment system to pay the bonds. The public hearing is scheduled to take place during the City Council business meeting at 7:00 p.m. at 90 North Main Street in Tooele.
