The Tooele Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to consider a conditional use permit request for a property located at 576 Park Hill, according to a public notice published August 31.
The request was submitted by property owner Steven Laird to allow for the construction of a detached garage. This project would cause the total lot coverage of accessory buildings to exceed the 8% maximum permitted by the current zoning ordinance. The subject property consists of approximately 0.45 acres and is zoned R1-12 Single-Family Residential.
The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 90 North Main Street, Tooele, Utah. The complete public notice is available on the Utah Public Notice Website, the Tooele City Website, and at Tooele City Hall in Suite 227.
Individuals wishing to submit written comments for the public hearing must email pcpubliccomment@tooelecity.gov or submit them to the City Planner by 11:59 p.m. the day before the hearing. Those attending the meeting electronically via the Tooele City YouTube Channel consent to being recorded for documentation and quality assurance purposes.
For requests for a copy of the public notice, additional inquiries, or special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals may contact Tooele City Planner Anna Anglin at (435) 843-2132.
