Unified Soccer athletes from across Davis School District competed at America First Field for the state tournament on November 4, 2026. The athletes showcased their athletic abilities, teamwork, and school pride during the event.
Several district teams earned championship and runner-up finishes during the tournament. Bountiful High School saw both of its participating teams earn state championships in their respective divisions. Northridge High School also celebrated a championship win, while its second team finished as runner-up. Clearfield High School's team earned a runner-up finish, and Woods Cross High School was represented in the morning's play-in competition.
The event included opportunities to celebrate student abilities outside of the competition. Before the tournament began, a Northridge High student demonstrated soccer skills for those in attendance. During opening ceremonies, a Unified athlete and partner from Farmington High joined their School Resource Officer in the torch run.
Unified Sports, a Special Olympics program, brings together individuals with and without intellectual disabilities to train and compete as teammates. The program aims to help participants build friendships, develop skills, and promote inclusion on and off the field.
