Career Exploration Event
The future of aerospace begins with opportunity, and approximately 150 students recently found just that during a hands-on career exploration event at Ogden-Hinckley Airport. Students from across the region connected with industry employers, aviation professionals and higher education representatives to explore careers in aviation, aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, engineering, robotics, welding, machining and aircraft maintenance. The experience provided students with an up-close look at the skills, education and training required for careers in some of Utah's fastest-growing industries. By interacting directly with professionals and learning about real workforce needs, students gained valuable insight into career opportunities available both locally and throughout the state.

While the aviation event focused on careers in aerospace and aviation, it also reflects a broader commitment within Davis School District to provide students with meaningful opportunities to explore a wide variety of career options. Through Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, concurrent enrollment courses, work-based learning experiences, internships, industry partnerships and career exploration events, students can begin preparing for future careers while still in school. A key part of that work includes partnerships with organizations such as Davis Technical College, helping students connect classroom learning with career-focused training programs, industry certifications, and workforce opportunities.
