Layton tours and engagement
The Layton City Police Department's Community Engagement Group offers scheduled tours of the police department, which include views of various departmental areas as well as police vehicles and motorcycles. According to the city, those interested in a tour should plan at least two weeks in advance and can schedule via telephone.
Tooele leadership and staffing
In Tooele, Chief Adrian Day continues to lead the police department, having been sworn in on July 7, 2021. The department, which responds to more than 17,000 calls for service annually, is comprised of 40 sworn officers and nine civilian employees.

The Tooele City Police Department operates through three main divisions: Patrol, Investigations, and Operational Support Services. The Animal Control/Ordinance Enforcement division specifically works toward code compliance to maintain property values and neighborhood safety.
