Aubrey Rebecca Garrett died on September 15, 2026, after a brief battle with cancer, according to a report published by the Logan Herald Journal on September 17. Garrett was 49 years old.
Born on February 8, 1977, in Provo, Utah, Garrett was the first child of Mark and Rebecca Garrett. She spent much of her childhood in Neola, Utah, and graduated from Hurricane High School in 1995. Garrett attended Southern Utah University and served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Utica, New York.
Garrett was employed by Deseret Book for nearly 20 years. She is survived by her parents, Mark and Rebecca Garrett; her sisters, Kirsten Bailey, Megan Jurkiewicz, and Jessica Volkert; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Garrett is scheduled for September 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the LDS North Chapel, located at 9060 South 200 West, in Paradise, Utah. Interment will follow at the Mendon City Cemetery. The family suggested honoring her memory by donating a book to a child or placing a book in a Little Free Library.
