Real Salt Lake announced on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, that the club has acquired a 2026 international roster slot from Austin FC. The transaction was completed in exchange for $235,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money (GAM).
The acquired international roster slot will expire at the end of the current calendar year.
Following the announcement, RSL players, coaches, and staff have returned to the Zions Bank Training Center in Herriman. The club is preparing for upcoming fixtures, including a preseason match against English Championship side Burnley FC at America First Field in Sandy on July 15.
Regular season MLS action continues on July 22 at Los Angeles Football Club, followed by road matches in Portland on July 25 and St. Louis on August 1.
Real Salt Lake will host several Leagues Cup contests at home, including matches against Tigres UANL on August 4, Atlante CF on August 8, and FC Juarez on August 11.
This stretch of five home games in 16 days follows a period where Head Coach Pablo Mastroeni’s side has recorded seven wins in eight home matches during the 2026 season. The club will also host Minnesota United on August 15 and FC Dallas on August 19.
