Brigham City has announced a public hearing regarding Truth in Taxation to discuss a proposed property tax increase. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, located at 20 North Main Street, Brigham City.
Public participation is encouraged, though all commenters must be residents of Brigham City or property owners within the city. Those attending in person at City Hall will have up to three minutes to speak.
Residents may also participate via Zoom by using the Raise Hand option when the hearing begins. A Zoom link will be provided on the city's Truth in Taxation page by Wednesday, August 12, before 5:00 p.m. Electronic commenters will also be allotted three minutes to speak. Alternatively, individuals may submit written comments to be read into the record, which are also subject to a three-minute limit.
