The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has announced upcoming bridge work along Interstate 15 in Juab County. The project will focus on ten bridges across five different locations, involving the replacement or rehabilitation of bridge decks and bringing barriers up to current standards.
Expected traffic impacts and delays
As of June 2026, drivers should expect shoulder closures and short-distance single-lane closures in either direction at various bridges due to bypass road construction. Traffic speeds may be reduced to 70 mph, and moderate delays are anticipated during peak periods.
Project scope and current progress
The project scope includes leveling approaches and performing work on bridge decks. Preparation work is currently underway, which has included the installation of a culvert under the Hall Loop Road bridge.
Bypass road construction timeline
Bypass roads located along the inside of various bridges are being constructed through May 2026. Once this phase is complete, the actual bridge rehabilitation work will begin.
Detailed construction schedule and phases
Construction is scheduled to take place from Winter 2026 through Fall 2026. The project timeline includes Phase 1, involving culvert and bypass work during Winter/Spring 2025-26, followed by Phase 2, which consists of bridge reconstruction during Summer 2026. The estimated completion date for the project is October 2026.
Work hours and weather contingencies
Work is scheduled to occur during daytime hours on weekdays, Monday through Friday. However, schedules remain subject to change based on material availability and weather conditions.
