Orem City
Mona City maintains specific meeting schedules and procedural requirements for its City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission. The City Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, while the Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the first Wednesday of every month.
The City of Orem scheduled a Development Review Committee meeting for August 31, 2026. The meeting will address a final plat for Johnson Farms Plat A and a site plan for Homebuilt.
A weeklong preliminary hearing began Monday for Tyler Robinson, the man accused of fatally shooting conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. The hearing will determine if there is sufficient evidence to move the capital murder case to trial.
