The South Jordan City Council and the Municipal Building Authority Board scheduled a combined meeting for Tuesday, September 15, 2026. The session was slated to take place in person at the City Council Chambers and virtually via Zoom.
During the meeting, the Municipal Building Authority of the City of South Jordan intended to discuss issuing a lease revenue bond. The estimated bond amount is $27,000,000, with funds intended for the acquisition and construction of a new fire station and related improvements, including a portion of offsite fire training facilities, as well as debt service reserve fund deposits and issuance costs.
The agenda also included several public hearing items and resolutions. These included the adoption of an amended impact fee for public safety infrastructure, an ordinance prohibiting the operation of virtual currency kiosks, and the approval of the 2025 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report for submittal to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The meeting was scheduled to include a proclamation for South Jordan Constitution Week 2026 by Mayor Dawn R. Ramsey. Officials noted that virtual attendees would not be able to participate in public comments, which required in-person attendance or written submission to City Recorder Anna Crookston by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.
