The Provo City Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Oct. 14, 2026, to address several development and zoning requests, according to a notice published Oct. 1. The meeting will include a study session starting at 5:00 PM, followed by the formal hearing at 6:00 PM at the Council Chambers located at 445 West Center Street.
Several items on the agenda require legislative action by the Provo Municipal Council. These include an ordinance text amendment to Title 14.30 regarding accessory dwelling unit regulations to align with State Code, and a request by Bret Nelson for a zone map amendment from the Residential Conservation Zone to the Low Density Residential Zone at 152 E 500 S. in the Maeser Neighborhood to create a 4-unit townhome development. Additionally, Cole West has requested a zone map amendment from the Residential Conservation Zone to the Medium Density Residential Zone at 908 E 1060 S. in the Spring Creek Neighborhood to facilitate a seven-unit townhome project.
Other items scheduled for discussion involve administrative approvals for non-legislative matters. Tom Stuart Construction has requested project plan approval for a new flex warehouse development in the Planned Industrial Commercial Zone at approximately 3100 S Sierra Vista Way in the Spring Creek Neighborhood. Bret Nelson has also submitted a request for concept plan approval for the 4-unit townhome development located at 152 E 500 S. in the Maeser Neighborhood.
