The Davis County Library has launched its Unearth a Story summer reading program, which runs from June 1st through August 1st. Participants of all ages can engage with the program by tracking books read, joining various creative programs, and earning prizes.
Several library branches have scheduled specific summer reading events for July 20th. The Layton Branch is hosting a session titled Forces of Flight with the Hill Air Force Base Museum from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, while the Syracuse Branch will hold an Under the Microscope program during the same timeframe. Other upcoming activities include Puzzle Across America at the Headquarters Library and various teen programs at the Centerville and Layton branches.
The Bountiful Branch Library is currently undergoing renovations. The branch closed on January 26, 2026, and is expected to remain closed for a minimum of 18 months. During this renovation period, story times are being held at the Bountiful Twig temporary location on Wednesdays at 10:30 AM.
The Davis County Library system provides various digital and physical services, including access to LinkedIn Learning with over 16,000 courses, a mobile application for iOS and Android, and a digital library for exploring family history and new languages. The library's mission is to enrich lives through information, education, and recreation.
