North Elementary School has issued several updates regarding school activities and safety procedures in notices posted to the school's website. These communications included information on apparel orders, student talent opportunities, and PTA events.
In an undated notice on the school's site, North Elementary announced that the deadline for apparel orders was approaching. The school also encouraged students to participate in the Reflections program to showcase their creativity and talents.
A PTA Kickoff Breakfast was scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the North Elementary Gym. The meeting was intended for parents to meet and learn about the PTA's plans for the school year. The event included a breakfast of muffins, fruit, and juice, as well as opportunities to hear from Principal Brown regarding educational goals.
The school also outlined visitor procedures for the new school year. Starting once the first bell rings at 8:50 AM, parents are required to exit the building, though they may walk students to class between 8:30 and 8:50 AM. Visitors must present an ID and sign in to receive a badge or sticker. Only volunteers who have completed fingerprinting and district training are permitted in the building after the first bell.
Safety reminders for the community included observing a 20 MPH speed limit in school zones when lights are active. Drivers were advised to be aware of students walking or biking to school and to come to a complete stop for anyone in a school crosswalk.
Additional school updates included information regarding yearbook availability and field trip details. The school also noted that the Utah Food Bank was scheduled to visit the school on May 14, 2026.
