Brian Head Resort is working to improve its winter season through snowmaking system upgrades during the summer. The mountain operations team aims to use these improvements to provide a stronger start to the winter season by making more snow and opening more terrain earlier.
A key part of the project involves a new pipeline capable of moving up to four times more water to the Navajo side of the resort. This upgrade essentially doubles the snowmaking capacity for the Navajo Mountain area.
By increasing capacity, the team intends to take better advantage of cold temperatures and build a stronger foundation for the season. This allows for a larger footprint of opened terrain rather than focusing coverage on a limited area. While natural snowfall remains vital, these tools are intended to prepare the mountain while waiting for natural precipitation.
For the upcoming season, the resort is offering 10 different Power Pass options. Additionally, lift tickets will start at $18, though prices are subject to increase as visit dates approach. Every lift ticket includes $10 in Corduroy Cash, which is redeemable for food, retail, or additional lift tickets.
