Miners drop home opener, Braves get area's only win
High school football teams across the Wasatch Back had another rough week as North Summit salvaged the area's only win. The Park City Miners lost their home opener 35-0 to the Morgan Trojans on Friday night. Morgan methodically picked apart the Park City defense as they built a 35-point lead through three quarters.

Utah safety officials remind parents of helmet laws as kids head back to school
New this school year kids must wear helmets when riding e-bikes, e-scooters or e-motorcycles. Passed during the 2026 legislative session, Utah’s law requires riders under 21 on e-bikes, e-scooters or e-motorcycles to wear a helmet on public roads The law gives officers the authority to impound electric two-wheelers when a minor violates safety laws.

Volunteers wanted for annual Park City Day of Service

Parkite takes Park City to court over ski mountain lift upgrades
It's the second time Silverlode and Eagle lift upgrades have been challenged in state court. Last time, a judge blocked them. Prospector resident Alan Theis filed the petition in Summit County’s 3rd District Court Aug. The improvements would expand Silverlode from a six-passenger detachable lift to an eight-pack.
