The Salem City Council is scheduled to conduct a work session and a regular meeting on Sept. 16, 2026, according to a September 11 notice.
The meeting will begin with a work session at 5:30 p.m. to discuss several items, including Inland Port mapping and assignment areas, side setbacks for structures of 200 square feet or less, and impact fees related to drinking water, pressurized irrigation, and storm drains.
The regular council meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and will include a public hearing and decision regarding updates to the Transportation Impact Fee Facilities Plan (IFFP) and the Transportation Impact Fee Analysis (IFA).
Other scheduled items for the regular meeting include reports from the Youth Council and the Salem Chamber, as well as decisions regarding meeting minutes from Sept. 2, 2026, and bills for payment. Various city directors and council members are scheduled to provide reports during the session.
The council may also convene in a closed session to discuss matters such as pending litigation, real property, or water lease/purchase.
The meeting will be held at 30 West 100 South, Salem, UT 84653. Residents may also participate electronically via Zoom by requesting a link from the city offices before 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2026.
