The Uintah County Planning Commission has scheduled a meeting for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, according to an August 31 notice. The meeting will take place in the Commission Chambers on the second floor of the State/County Building located at 152 East 100 North, Vernal.
The agenda includes a public hearing regarding land use ordinance amendments. The commission will consider changes to Section 6.04.030 concerning wild animals and regulations regarding the ownership of certain snakes. Additionally, the commission will review Chapter 17.33 to consider allowing private landing strips in the RA1 Zone.
A public hearing is also scheduled for a conditional use permit requested by Marandy Massey. The request involves establishing and operating an in-home preschool facility at 2858 S 400 W, Vernal, UT 84078.
Individuals requiring special accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act should notify Matt Cazier at least five days prior to the meeting. Public comments during the meeting will be limited to two minutes.
