The Toquerville City Council scheduled a regular business meeting for August 19, 2026, at 6:00 pm, according to an agenda posted August 17, 2026. The meeting is set to take place at 212 N. Toquer Blvd, Toquerville Utah, and will be broadcast live on the Toquerville City YouTube channel.
The agenda includes a presentation by Toquerville City Culture and Recreation Director April Smith and a discussion on code enforcement. Council members will review and consider the approval of meeting minutes from August 5, 2026, and August 11, 2026, as well as City Expenditures from July 2026.
Several business items are slated for discussion and possible action. These include resolutions to adopt the Toquerville City Final Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 and to set the real and personal tax levy for tax year 2026. The council will also consider the adoption of the Wildland Urban Interface Map and a Kleinman Water Limited Water Service and Easement Agreement.
The meeting will address development and land use through the discussion of an annexation petition from Solara Communities, LLC and hillside development permits from Firelight Development, Inc. for Sunriver at Firelight, Phases 8-16, and Meridian at Firelight, Phases 1-3.
Additional work items include discussions regarding the United States Postal Service location in Toquerville City and property disposition for Tax ID W-227-E. The council may also enter a closed meeting to discuss litigation, security, property acquisition or sale, or the character and professional competence or physical or mental health of an individual.
