Police are investigating an ongoing scam involving fraudulent invoicing for the Board of Adjustments, according to a notice posted to the Cedar City website.
The scam involves email communications regarding supposed applications or fees. City officials advised that all official city communication is sent to business email addresses rather than personal emails. Additionally, secretaries of boards are the only individuals who should be emailing regarding city business.
If a communication appears suspicious, officials suggest calling City Hall directly to confirm the information.
