The North View Fire District is proposing an increase to its property tax revenue, according to a notice of public hearing. The proposed changes would affect both residential and business property taxes within the district.
A public hearing is scheduled for August 4, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the proposal and explain the reasons for the increase.
Under the proposal, the tax on a $544,000 residence would increase from $327.92 to $352.16, representing an annual increase of $24.24. For a $544,000 business, the tax would rise from $596.22 to $640.29, which is an increase of $44.07 per year.
If approved, the North View Fire District would receive an additional $364,937 in property tax revenue annually. This would result in a 7.26% increase in budgeted property tax revenue above last year's amount, excluding eligible new growth.
The North View Fire District invites concerned citizens to participate in the public hearing either in person or online. The meeting will be held at the Fire Station 21 Board Meeting Room located at 315 E 2500 N, North Ogden.
A virtual meeting option is available via Zoom for those unable to attend in person.
