Teacher Haley Gillian wrote that Dallin spends the time between periods greeting students, giving high fives and asking how they are doing. Gillian and Shoreline student Moises Lamoni Rodriguez both nominated him for the Provo Way Award.

Moises focused on the same combination of kindness and teaching.

“He is just so kind to others and always knows what they need,” Moises wrote, adding that Dallin “has a way of teaching that is easy to understand.”

Dallin has also earned the trust of his colleagues. Though only in his second year of teaching, he serves on Shoreline’s department chair committee, where Gillian said his input is valued.

Congratulations, Dallin, on receiving the Provo Way Award and on making relationships part of the work every day.
