Residents of Beaver whose gas meters were removed due to flood damage must complete several safety requirements before natural gas service can be restored. According to a notice from the city, these steps are necessary to ensure the household's safety and to confirm the system is operating correctly following flood-related damage.
To restore service, a licensed professional must conduct a pressure test of the home's gas piping system. Additionally, all gas lines and appliances must be inspected to verify they are operating safely and properly. Any identified damages must be repaired or replaced before service is reinstated.
Enbridge Gas will only reinstall a gas meter once the gas system has been tested and certified as safe for operation.
