Clark has shaped Naples planning since 2015 as commission chairman
Chris Clark has long been a fixture in Naples local government, serving as Chairman of the Planning Commission since 2015 according to an undated department page. His involvement in city governance includes presiding over various legislative discussions and commission business. During a meeting on May 21, 2026, Clark participated in discussions regarding the Commercial Zone C and the proposed Accessory Dwelling Units ordinance. On that same date, Clark moved to approve changes to the Commercial ordinance and the Planning Commission Bylaws and brought them back for public hearing. During the May 21, 2026, session, Clark also participated in a motion to approve the minutes of February 19, 2026, and a motion to approve the agenda after suggesting a correction regarding the Chairman title. In a meeting held on February 19, 2026, Clark served as the individual who verified a full quorum and later seconded a motion to adjourn. During that February 19, 2026, meeting, Clark suggested that potential redevelopment grants could be used for building facades, parking lots, and landscaping. As of the city's January 15, 2026, agenda, Clark was recorded as the Chairman of the commission. The Naples Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:30pm, according to the commission's agenda for June 18, 2026.
