BYU Police received a report of a stolen bike. Officers discovered the bike was stolen from a bike rack at Heritage Halls.A pizza delivery driver reported his oven bags were stolen. BYU Police received a report of a man who appeared to be homeless. An officer conducted a welfare check and found the man was fine. The officer decided no further action was necessary.Officers responded to a report of a couple arguing in Lot 33. The husband had been bitten by a dog and wanted his wife to take him to the hospital. The wife wanted to go to a play. The woman left, and officers stayed with the man until his father took him to the hospital.Traffic Violation
An officer observed a passenger throwing firecrackers out of a moving vehicle near building nine of Helaman Halls. The officer stopped the car and filed the appropriate charges against the occupants.Trespassing
BYU Police received a report of people smoking near Lot 39. Officers were unable to find signs of such activity. A BYU student's parent filed the complaint.An officer was called to the Missionary Training Center after receiving reports of an individual throwing things over the fence. Several people heard meowing coming from under the hood of a vehicle parked at the Riviera Apartments. BYU Police contacted the owner of the car and ensured the cat was safely removed.Medical
A boy fell while riding Heelys in a parking lot. He hit his stomach and face. EMS helped the boy and suggested he visit a doctor.A student injured her hand playing ultimate frisbee. BYU EMS treated the student and determined no further medical care was needed.Information

BYU Police received a report of an older man walking around Harold B. Lee Library looking through people’s bags. Officers could not find the man when they arrived.A man signing up for classes began acting strange and swearing at employees. BYU received several threatening messages on social media. BYU Police found a potential suspect in the ongoing investigation. The Special Investigative Assistance Committee, the FBI and the Utah County Attorney’s Office determined there was not sufficient evidence to charge the individual. Officers filed for a campus ban to be issued until the issue can be resolved.
