Sage Creek Elementary is preparing for the upcoming school year as the Nebo School District introduces a new theme titled Be That Friend. The district's initiative aims to rally the school community around the concept of friendship as students return to classes.
The school has welcomed Jinyue (Amber) Li as the new 1st grade Chinese DLI teacher. Li, who was born and raised in China, holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Beijing.
In student achievements, Tucker Peery received national recognition in the 2025-2026 National PTA Reflections program. Additionally, the school recently highlighted students participating in the Save Sam challenge, which involved problem-solving using a paperclip, cup, peach ring, and gummy worm.
The school community also participated in the Gear Up For School event held at Landmark High School on August 1, 2026. Organized by Tabitha's Way, the event provided backpacks to school-aged children.
Upcoming school events include a School Community Council meeting on September 10 and a PTA meeting on September 14. Other scheduled activities include picture day on September 18 and a teacher development day on September 21.
