Hilton has announced plans for a new Canopy by Hilton hotel at the Deer Valley East Village development. This project marks the brand's first hotel in Utah and its first ski destination hotel.
The new-build hotel will feature 180 keys and is situated near the Jordanelle Express Gondola, overlooking the Jordanelle Reservoir and Deer Valley Resort. According to an announcement from Hilton, the hotel's design aims to reflect the area's history, drawing inspiration from Park City's silver mining past and its evolution into a ski destination. The project is being developed in agreement with New York-based Extell Development Company.
Amenities at the hotel are expected to include a pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna, fitness center, and a golf simulator. The facility will also feature a dedicated ski reception lobby, a ski locker room, and two levels of underground parking with 176 stalls. Food and beverage options will span over 9,600 square feet and include a signature destination restaurant, an apres-ski lounge, a rooftop lounge, and a grab & go coffee shop.
The hotel will be part of the Deer Valley East Village, a development that includes residential ownership opportunities and retail and commercial space. The expansion of Deer Valley is expected to culminate in the 2025/2026 ski season, which will see the resort double its current skiable terrain by adding 10 new chairlifts and 100 new ski runs.
