The Kaysville City Council is scheduled to hold a regular council meeting on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, according to a notice published Sept. 11. The meeting is slated to begin at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at Kaysville City Hall, with a Q&A session starting at 6:30 PM.
The agenda for the meeting includes several presentations and awards. Scheduled items include the presentation of the Supervising Fire Officer Award to Colton Bascom and a proclamation declaring Oct. 4-10, 2026, as Fire Prevention Week. The council also plans to swear in the 2026-2027 Kaysville Youth City Council and the 2026-2027 Kaysville Youth Court. Other presentations include reports from Davis County Animal Care Director Michelle Hicks and Kaysville Parks and Recreation Director Cole Stephens.
Action items on the agenda include an ordinance to repeal a temporary land use regulation on accessory structures and an ordinance to amend Kaysville City Code regarding internal accessory dwelling units to comply with Senate Bill 284. Additionally, the council will consider a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of up to $6,500,000 in sales tax revenue bonds.
Public comments will be accepted during the Call to the Public, public hearings, and action items. Participants are limited to three minutes per item and must sign up in person before the meeting begins.
