The City of St. George will hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 1, 2026, regarding the 2025 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER), according to a September 15 notice. The hearing is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at City Hall, located at 61 South Main, St. George.
The CAPER serves as a financial and public benefit summary detailing how the city used and expended federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the 2025 program year. The report evaluates how these federal funds were used to carry out priorities established in the city's adopted 2025 Annual Action Plan, as well as how other resources were used to leverage federal dollars to meet community needs.
A draft version of the 2025 CAPER will be available for review and comment from September 15, 2026, through October 1, 2026. Residents can access the draft online at www.sgcityutah.gov or in person at the City's Community Development Department in City Hall or at the St. George Branch of the Washington County Library.
The city plans to submit the CAPER to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) on or about October 2, 2026. Written comments regarding the report may be submitted to Brenda Hatch via email or delivered to the Community Development Department at 61 South Main Street, St. George, Utah 84770.
