Vernal City is requesting bids for a roadway rehabilitation project located on 500 South, according to a August 27 statement. The project involves extensive work on approximately two miles of roadway and has an estimated total bid price of approximately $2,000,000.
The scope of work for the project includes rotomilling approximately two miles of roadway and overlaying the area with 2 inches of HMA, totaling about 6,000 tons. Additionally, the project requires adjusting the elevations of approximately 56 utility manholes and 54 valves within the roadway, as well as restriping the roadway. The project is expected to be completed in November 2026.
Bids for the single contract must be received at the Vernal City Office, located at 374 East Main Street, Vernal, Utah, 84078, until 1:00 PM local time on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. At that time, the bids will be publicly opened and read. Project plans and bidding documents were made available through the contractor portal at https://contractors.jonesanddemille.com/.
