Saratoga Springs released several community updates in a series of reports published throughout August 2026. These announcements cover topics ranging from school transportation safety to holiday schedules and environmental advisories.
According to a August 13 report, information regarding safe walking routes and school transportation safety is available for residents looking to get children to school safely.
City offices are scheduled to be closed on Monday, September 7, for Labor Day. The library will also be closed all day on Monday, September 7, in observance of the federal holiday. While the library will be closed for in-person services, online services remain available for downloading materials, conducting research, or placing holds. Items are not due on the holiday and will not accrue overdue fines during the closure.
Additionally, the Department of Environmental Quality issued a lake-wide algal bloom warning advisory for Utah Lake.
Library programming staff will spend the month of August preparing for fall programming, meaning there will be no programs held during August. The library will resume programming after Labor Day.
