Storrs, CT — Longtime coach and administrator Tom Moore has announced his retirement from the University of Connecticut. Moore has spent nearly forty years in coaching and administration, including 21 years at UConn.
Moore has served as the men's basketball general manager for the past four seasons. His tenure at UConn includes a second stint as an assistant coach from the 2018-19 season until 2024-25. He is a four-time national champion.
The announcement comes amid a period of roster changes for the Huskies. Recent additions to the 2026-27 roster include freshman Egor Amosov, as well as Pegues and McLelland. Additionally, the program recently announced the signing of four newcomers for the upcoming season.
The Huskies have several upcoming scheduled events, including a matchup against Syracuse on October 27, 2026, and a game against Purdue on November 6, 2026.
