MARYSVALE, Utah, May 10, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Two people were injured Sunday when a small aircraft crashed east of Marysvale near Anderson Canyon on Monroe Mountain.
The crash was reported at approximately 12:08 p.m., according to the Piute County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO). The single-engine Cessna 172 was occupied by a 59-year-old man and an 88-year-old man, a PCSO press release said. The 88-year-old was airlifted by Classic Air Medical to Utah Valley Hospital for treatment, while the 59-year-old left the scene in a private vehicle.
Responding agencies included the Piute County Sheriff’s Office, Piute EMS, Classic Air Medical, Marysvale Fire, Monroe Fire, DR Fire, and the U.S. Forest Service. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
