Deer Creek State Park has issued Stage 2 fire restrictions, mandating that no open fires of any kind are permitted. This prohibition includes fires within established fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet grills, and any other ash-producing fuel.
While open fires are banned, properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves with a shut-off valve are permitted, provided they are used in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren with no flammable vegetation.
The park's AIS Decontamination Unit is open for the season with daily hours from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. According to park information, boats traveling from infested waters—including Lake Powell, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Mexico, and Canada—must undergo decontamination before entering the Deer Creek State Park Reservoir.
Regarding water conditions, the reservoir surface consists of all open water with a temperature of approximately 71 degrees and is currently 63 percent full. The Island Boat Ramp and the Main Deer Creek Boat Ramp are both open, as are the park's road conditions and day-use areas.
Camping remains available across several locations. Chokecherry Campground, Great Horned Owl Campground, and Fox Den Campground are all open. Summer price rates are in effect from March 19 through October 20, with day-use rates set at $20 per vehicle per day.
For those traveling by boat, courtesy docks have been placed and launch ramps are open. Visitors are advised to use the ramp and reservoir at their own risk.
Various recreational activities are available in the area, including boat rentals at Deer Creek Island Resort, kite surfing lessons via Uinta Kiting, and zip line tours through Zipline Utah. The Lakehouse Restaurant is also open year-round at the Island area.
