Willard Bay is currently under Stage 2 fire restrictions, prohibiting all open fires including those in established fire pits, charcoal grills, and pellet grills. A danger advisory has also been issued for Willard Peak Pond due to algae.
According to recent updates from Utah State Parks, properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves with a shut-off valve are allowed, provided they are used in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren and contains no flammable vegetation.
Boat ramps at the North and South Marinas are open, though visitors are advised to launch at their own risk. Water surfaces in the North Marina, South Marina, Bay, and South Inlet are currently open water. Current water temperatures for both Willard Bay and Willard Peak Pond are 61 degrees Fahrenheit.
Day-use areas at the North Marina, South Marina, and the Pond are open. However, an algae advisory is in effect for the Pond. Flushable bathrooms and showers are open in all campgrounds, including Cottonwood, Willow Creek, and South Marina.
Fishing regulations are in effect for the area. Possession of gizzard shad, dead or alive, is unlawful unless it is commercially sold and preserved. Size and limit regulations include:

Campgrounds are open for camping on a first-come, first-served basis after 3:00 pm on the day of arrival if a reservation has not been made. No refunds are provided for circumstances such as weather, nature, or bugs. Officials remind visitors to wear life jackets and note that boat launching is at the owner's risk.
