Stage 2 fire restrictions are in effect at East Canyon State Park, prohibiting all forms of open fires. According to park updates, this includes fires within established fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet grills, and any other ash-producing fuel.
Under the current Stage 2 restrictions, visitors are only permitted to use properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves with a shut-off valve. These stoves must be used in an area that is at least three feet in diameter and barren of flammable vegetation.
Regarding park amenities, day-use parking is currently normal and the park remains open for day-use. The water level is reported at 64 percent with a temperature of 74 degrees, and the water is currently open.
All docks are in and accessible for the spring/summer season. Boat decontamination services are available by appointment only from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. The fish cleaning station is also open for the season.
Both Dixie Campground and Big Rock Campground are currently open, with all water turned on at the Dixie Campground.
Campsites are available for reservation up to four months in advance. Any remaining sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis after 2 p.m. on the day of arrival. Group site reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance.
