An Orem man has been indicted for a federal hate crime following an alleged stabbing of a WVC mall worker. The U.S. Department of Justice, District of Utah, announced the indictment of 48-year-old Peter Larsen for willfully causing bodily injury to a victim because of actual or perceived religion.
According to an announcement from the U.S. Department of Justice, District of Utah, Larsen was arrested on July 13. The indictment involves allegations that Larsen stabbed a worker at the WVC mall after asking if the victim was Muslim.
The case involves charges of a federal hate crime related to the incident at the WVC mall.
