A fundraiser organized by Shallon Wright has been updated to assist with memorial service costs following the death of a child named Kensley, according to a August 22 statement.
The family reported that Kensley passed away on August 20 after being involved in a high-speed Razor accident that resulted in a tree strike. According to the fundraiser description, Kensley suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, skull fractures, a broken neck, collarbone, shoulder, and ribs. She also faced complications including a collapsed lung, heart failure, and blood clots in the arteries leading to her brain.
Following the accident, Kensley was treated at Cedar Hospital and St. George Hospital, where she underwent emergency brain surgery to relieve pressure on her brain. She was scheduled to be transported to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City for specialized care before her passing.
As of the August 22 update, the fundraiser has raised $8,115 of a $9,000 goal through 108 donations. The funds are intended to cover funeral costs and memorial services chosen by the family.
