The Ogden School District has released various updates regarding recent district activities and community milestones. These updates include information on board of education meetings, student recognitions, and specialized program milestones.
The Ogden School District recently hosted a soft opening for its new Opportunity Center located at 2563 Monroe Blvd. The center was designed to connect community partners and families. Additionally, the district announced a transition in student technology monitoring, moving from GoGuardian to Blocksi for student internet filtering, classroom screen monitoring, and the parent dashboard portal.
Several educational milestones were reported, including an event where the Ogden School District Adult Education and the Weber County Sheriff’s Office celebrated Genaro Valenciano receiving his high school diploma. In the arts, the Ogden High School Marching Band earned its fifth consecutive state championship title with an 80s-themed performance titled Neon Dreams.
The district also received national recognition for the exceptional competency-based program at Ogden-Weber Technical College. Other notable events included an aerospace and defense career exploration event at Ben Lomond High School and a food drive hosted by the Facilities and Operations Department to support the TLC Food Pantry.
